The Surgeon

A native of Chicago, Illinois, Dr. Leaf graduated Alpha Omega Alpha Honors from the University of Chicago School of Medicine. After his surgical internship at the Stanford Medical Center focusing on reconstructive surgery for babies born with congenital deformities, he returned to the University of Chicago where he served his general residency, his fellowship in Microsurgery Research, and his graduate training in Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery.

Currently Dr. Leaf is an Associate Clinical Professor of Plastic Surgery at UCLA Medical Center, where he actively participates in the training of residents. He is on the staff of Cedars-Sinai Medical Center and UCLA Medical Center. Dr. Leaf is proud to serve as the Medical Director of IRAQ STAR, a national non-profit foundation dedicated to providing reconstructive surgeries to wounded Iraq and Afghanistan war veterans helping them return to their pre-war lives.

To give back in whatever way we can... Dr. Leaf continues to offer what he does best, his expertise, providing corrective surgeries for children with cleft palate to reconstructive surgeries for our Iraq war veterans.

    Joy Edwards is an advanced nurse practitioner receiving her Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) from the University of North Carolina and is certified by the State of California as a Public Health Nurse (P.H.N.). Joy is a specialist in IPL, Accent and Fraxel laser treatments as well as a Certified Botox and Filler Injection Specialist.

    Maya Zeinedinne is an advanced practice licensed Esthetician with special training in the medical field providing her the ability to work along side Plastic Surgeons. Maya specializes in skin treatments such as Diamond Peel, HydraFacial and medical grade peels such as Refinity, Cosmelan and ViPeel. Maya is key to providing the best “pre“ and “post“ operative skin treatments to ensure optimum patient recovery.
  • Joana Sanchez, M.A. Senior Medical Assistant
    Joana is one of the key people you will get to know throughout your surgical experience. A direct extension of Dr. Leaf, Joana is responsible for all pre and post operative follow-up, informing you of required lab work as well as communicating with your physician's office to ensure all medical tests and clearances are received. Joana will guide you through your surgical experience ensuring confidence every step of the way.
